It seems surreal as I’m writing this, but it’s finally here: my very first blog article. I cannot tell you how many times I started to work on this blog to then cancel all of it, back and forth for a very long period of time, but not today. Today there’s something different about me. Today I am ready to dedicate the time & energy to what I call my “project 2021”. And since the idea of a blog has never left my mind, I am now willing to give it a chance and occupy a tiny space on this world wide web.
I must admit, maybe the most difficult part about starting a blog in 2021 is to be able to answer questions like: what is your niche, what do you bring special to the table, isn’t the market already saturated at the moment, do you have anything interesting to share? And you know what? I still don’t have the answer to that, all I know is that I love taking pictures, I love writing and I want to connect with people. As far as being special or interesting, I will let others decide, but I am a firm believer that there is only one “you” in this world and for now that’s all I need to continue.
A big part of this space will be dedicated to Venice and everything related to it since it’s a huge part of my life and the reason I even approached social media platforms. This past year I have been sharing lots of pictures and tips on my Instagram account @anainvenice and I’ve been really enjoying it, I’ve met so many people in love with Venice. People that have lived there for some time, people that only visited for a few days, people that come back every year to visit and people who are still dreaming to visit Venice once in their lifetime. They all have a special place in their heart dedicated to Venice and how can I blame them? Venice is like no other place on earth.
However, given the special year (2020) that we have lived, I have developed huge interest in certain aspects of our existence, more specifically in self development and becoming a better self overall, a kind of elevated version of ourselves. I’ve spent some time analyzing what I’d like to improve about myself and then research ways of doing it. I wish it were that easy as writing though, it isn’t. It’s a long journey, a journey deep down inside ourselves where we may discover things we don’t like but that are crucial to our evolution. Therefore I am excited to be sharing this journey with you, consisting in all the books I read or listen to and my own experience and thoughts, I do hope it will be an inspiring one.
And finally, to lighten up the spirits and because I would not be truly myself without this aspect, we are going to enter the beautiful world of fashion, beauty, accessories and everything that gravitates around a woman’s life. A world of beautiful clothes, intriguing scents, glittery make up and dazzling stones & jewelry combined with the experience of being a woman in the 21st century.
